St. Louis Young Democrats Executive Board Calls for Gov. Eric Greitens to Resign

ST. LOUIS - The Executive Board of the St. Louis Young Democrats calls for Gov. Eric Greitens to resign.

Earlier this year, allegations of sexual misconduct and blackmail were leveled against Gov. Greitens. In a prior statement, the St. Louis Young Democrats called for a thorough investigation. Now that the investigation has concluded and the facts have been revealed, the Executive Board is calling for the governor to immediately resign.

The bipartisan investigation shows that Gov. Greitens has engaged in sexually abusive behavior, including sexual assault. We are appalled and disgusted. For too long, powerful men have been given a pass on sexual abuse, but things are changing. No one who engages in such behavior is fit to serve in public office. Missourians deserve better than this. Therefore, the Executive Board of the St. Louis Young Democrats is calling for the governor's immediate resignation.
